About Us

It all began in 1975, at the tender age of 10 in Cincinnati, OH. My sister-in-law bought me a KISS 8-track for my birthday.
That day changed my life forever!

In the few years following, I wore that tape out. KISS posters and pictures, as well as the KISS logo that I made and colored myself, were taped to every available inch of my room.
My mother would never enter my room, as she was horrified by the faces on the wall. My dad only opened the door long enough to tell me to "turn that sh*t down!".

KISS (especially Gene Simmons) was a god to boys my age back then.  Led Zeppelin, The Who, Black Sabbath and the like were popular with me then, but KISS was DIFFERENT. There was no one like them then, or now.
I was too young to see a concert, so I lived for every moment to see them on TV. I grabbed every magazine I could find with their pictures on the cover. By the late 70's, I was able to sneak off to see them live. WOW! What an experience!
I was a young KISS junkie in the making ...

In the early 80's KISS removed the makeup and as the mystique faded, my musical interests started to wander. In 1984, I met the love of my life Melissa (Missy), and took her to her first KISS show in 1985. She was hooked! We were married in 1987.

In 1988, I graduated from the University of Cincinnati Pharmacy College and we were blessed with Nicole, our only child, later that year.

By the mid 90's, KISS was reunited in full makeup. Now I was finally able to introduce the two most important people in my life to something that had been such an integral part of my youth. I took them to their first KISS show in full makeup in 1998 and was even able to persuade Nicole at age 11 to wear the KISS makeup for a show. As she grew older, she was there to help us apply our makeup for shows. Isn't it funny how things come full circle, huh?

Throughout the late 90's to the present, we started amassing a collection of all things related to KISS. Merchandise of all kinds, autographed guitars, and stage worn memorabilia were beginning to fill our home. We were making a lot of trips around the country to KISS concerts, expos, and other special events.

More importantly, we were meeting some of the best friends we could ever have. The KISS Army is huge and so are their hearts. They are indeed like family to us and it's through the KISS Army that we eventually met our "soul friends" for life, Kim and John Kelly. Our lives changed forever that day in New Jersey in 2002 and we can't imagine life now without them.

This website is dedicated to you guys in the KISS Army. We love you all very much and look forward to many more awesome years together!!
